ABOUT WOODLOCH
IN THE POCONO MOUNTAINS
As a young girl the serenity of Lake Teedyuskung was what drew Mary Mould to the area to vacation and she vowed to return often. Harry Kiesendahl and Mary Mould were married in 1944 and in 1958, just fourteen years later, they bought Woodloch, a work of love. The property was named after Louise and George Lochwood who entertained guests during the summertime. The Kiesendahls soon found their niche in Northeast Pennsylvania and established the beauty that is Woodloch.
Today, their children and grandchildren still carry on the tradition of excellence and warm hospitality. Their mission is to treat guests as if they were company in their own homes. A four-season resort located in the picturesque Pocono Mountains Lake Region, Woodloch is a convenient and scenic drive from New York, Philadelphia, Maryland and Connecticut.
Woodloch is an ideal destination for family vacations, corporate retreats, weddings, reunions, senior group tours, class & scout trips and milestone celebrations.
Woodloch is working with local businesses and national companies to protect and preserve the beauty of Hawley and the surrounding area. The breathtaking quality of our environment is the inspiration upon which Woodloch was built. We understand, as a business with a large ecological footprint, that it is our responsibility to do what we can to promote care for the environment.
Woodloch has joined with a variety of local naturalists, herbalists and survivalists to offer exclusive classes, tours, outdoor excursions and nature walks.
